Format:
- Each game will be supervised by 1 dodgeball referee. Court monitors/Conveners on site as well
- Each team is guaranteed to play 4 x 18 minute round robin games (to determine seedings for playoffs) and a minimum of 1 playoff game (certain rounds are "best-of" format).
- All teams qualify for playoffs - SINGLE ELIMINATION TOURNAMENT
Venue:
- Polson Pier (south of Cherry St/Lakeshore Blvd East).
- Outdoor Beach Facility on the water!
- On-site bar, restaurant and entertainment.
- Free parking
Eligibility:
- The Outdoor Beach Charity Beach Dodgeball Tournament is open to anyone aged 17+.
- All teams must be co-ed. (minimum 2 of each gender must start each game)
- All games will be played 6 vs 6. (though you can have as many people on your roster as your like).
- Individuals/small groups may sign up (email lorne@torontododgeball.com) and we will do our best to form teams.
Rules:
Modified Tournament Rules: (compared to season rules)
- Only 4 balls (All 8.25" balls)
- Games format is as many wins as you can in 18 minutes (certain playoff rounds are "best-of" style). If horn goes and in middle of game, team with more players wins game (min. 2 players must be out or else game is void).
- No clearing line, 2 balls start at the back line for each team.
- A player may only crouch with a ball for 5 seconds and then is forced to throw or give the ball to a teammate.

Specific Toronto Dodgeball Rules:
- A player may hold/touch as many balls as they please (includes catching a ball if holding another).
- No one is called out on a head shot play; the ball is considered dead once it strikes a player in the head (no catch can be made). If a player is ducking or knowingly making themselves smaller then head shots become legal.
- A player is not out if they drop a pass from a teammate.
- Countdown ruling to enforce the game is played at a reasonable pace (More explanation click here)
- We do not regulate which player must be the next on the court in the event of a catch (as long as the co-ed rule is followed)
Prizes:
- 1st place is guaranteed at least 3x their registration fee in cash!
- 2nd place is guaranteed their team registration fee ($250 in cash!)
